Operation Reassurance
Assisting senior citizens, or people living under special circumstances that live alone.
You will be required to call the Police Department every
day between 6:00am and 11:00am.
If your call is not received by 11:00
am we will call you.
If there is no answer a police officer will be dispatched to your home to ensure your well being.
If a key is not made available to the police officer forced entry into your home may be required.
The Lavallette Police Department or it's members will not be held liable for any damage incurred by the forced entry.
If you are interested in participating please print and fill out the application below and return it to Police Headquarters, if you are unable to bring the application to police headquarters an officer can pick it up from your residence.

This program is a courtesy extended to all property owners of Lavallette by the Police Department.
With this program the police department is able to contact you regarding your home or property.
The Lavallette Police Department must be able to make immediate contact with either the homeowner or emergency contact person in case of an emergency.

Beach Buggy Permit Application
Beach Access Closed May 1st - September 30th
Do Not Operate any type of motor vehicle, motor-driven vehicle, or motor-assisted vehicle on the municipal beach from May 1st through and including September 30th.
BE ADVISED: You are responsible for knowing the regulations governing the use of vehicles on the beach; therefore, be sure to read the Code for Permits below.
Permits are good for the Calendar year January 1st - December 31

Fingerprints are always required for a Permit to Carry applicant, for initial and renewal.

APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED VIA MAIL OR BE ALLOWED TO BE DROPPED OFF.

Towing Service Registration
No towing service shall be placed upon the towing list for the towing or storing of motor vehicles within the Borough unless the towing service shall first register with the Borough. In order to be placed upon the towing list for light-duty towing, a towing service must be located within 15 miles of the geographic center of the Borough of Lavallette or within the Borough of Lavallette.
A towing service that has met all the specifications and requirements of this chapter and has registered with the Borough shall be placed on the towing list by the Chief of Police or Public Safety Director; however, the maximum number of towing services on the Borough's towing list shall be five such services.
Services shall be placed on the Borough's towing list on a first-come first-served basis. Vacancies shall be filled in the same manner. Each towing service must submit its schedule of basic towing and storage rates with its registration application.

Lavallette Solicitation Permit
Any person seeking to engage in solicitation within the Borough of Lavallette shall apply to the Borough of Lavallette Police Department for a solicitation permit no less than five business days prior to engaging in solicitation.
The Police Department, shall issue a permit upon completion of the solicitation permit application form. A permit shall be issued to any and all applicants who complete the application form and provide photo identification. A separate permit shall be issued to each individual who engages in solicitation within the Borough of Lavallette.
Solicitation in any address identified on the "Do Not Solicit" list shall constitute a violation of this chapter. Each and every solicitation at an address identified on the "Do Not Solicit" list by an individual solicitor shall constitute a separate violation of this chapter.

No Solicitation
The Lavallette Police Department would like to notify any resident who signed up to be on the "No Solicitation" List, to please contact the police department to place your name on the list. Unfortunately the list was not kept in digital form at the time of Super Storm Sandy and was lost in the storm. We apologize for this inconvenience, and encourage all homeowners who wish to be on the "No Solicitation" list to contact the Police Department to be placed on the list.
Lavallette Vendor Application
Any person, firm or corporation desiring to engage in the “business of peddling or selling any product from vehicles” shall apply in writing. The application shall be submitted to the Lavallette Police Department for processing. Applications must be submitted between January 1 and March 31.

Lavallette Police Property Registration Program
The Lavallette Police Department is restarting the property registration program. Property can be registered with the police department in the event it is recovered the property can be identified and returned to is owner. This can be utilized for bikes, skateboards, scooters, etc..
